I apologize for not getting this reminder posted earlier of which teams I picked to win this weekend’s college football games in the ACC, Big Ten and SEC.

It was unavoidable. I was delayed by having to travel to a niece’s wedding.

Yes, I’m serious. There really are people in this world who clearly don’t care about college football (or sports in general), so they think nothing of inconveniencing the rest of us.

That’s why I refuse to feel guilty for forgetting to purchase a coveted wedding gift from the bridal registry. Seriously, I can’t be held responsible for friends and family who have different priorities in life from me.

Anyway, the key matchups in each conference will have Clemson winning at Virginia Tech,  Georgia slipping past Tennessee in Knoxville and Wisconsin holding off Northwestern at home.

And yes, I promise to eventually forgive and forget. And I may even send the bride and groom some kitchen towels or cork toasters or something in a week or two.
